Activities at the Vaasa Satellite Office
WHO Collaboration Centre for Mental Health Promotion,
Prevention and Policy
The Centre is a
joint effort by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and by STAKES,
the Finnish National Public Health Institute (KTL) and the Finnish
Institute of Occupational Health (FIOH). It aims to build
collaboration in the area of mental health, the main focus being on
the promotion and prevention of mental disorders and on policy
development in the field. The
SUPPORT project, co-funded by the European
Commission, operates within the Collaboration Centre. The aim of
the project is to provide support to the Commission in its work to
promote mental health in Europe.
Vaasa Excellence Centre for Mental Health
The
Vaasa Excellence Centre for Mental Health is a network
organisation maintained by STAKES, the University of Helsinki and
the Vaasa Hospital District. It is located at the Satellite Office.
The Centre develops regional mental health work and conducts
international and national mental health
research. |
