Mainstreaming disability in development - the PRSP way

In January 2006, Handicap International and the Christoffel-Blindenmission (CBM) jointly published a handbook, which gives propositions and suggestions on how to include people with disabilities in national poverty reduction strategy papers (PRSP). To put these ideas and proposals into action, Handicap International and CBM decided to implement a follow-up project on the issue "Disability and PRSP" in cooperation with the GTZ (German Association for Technical Cooperation).

The main objective of the project is to motivate and empower national disabled people's organisations to participate and influence the PRSP process effectively.

Read more about mainstreaming disability in development and the activities to implement the PRSP process.

Set of field projects have been launched. The projects implement the approach of the Manual in the following countries.
