STAKES has collaborated with the WHO/DAR for many years. The collaboration has included organizing the review of Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR), for example.

STAKES has also worked with UNICEF on deinstitutionalization in Eastern Europe.

Some projects have been done for the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The project work is mainly channelled through the International Development Collaboration at STAKES, which is a non-profit, expert organisation of STAKES.
