Outcomes of the Kellokoski experts' meeting
The Kellokoski Experts' Meeting was held in Finland 1-3 November
2006. The roundtable gathered together social and employment policy
experts from several governments, civil society organisations and
research organisations of the Global South and North, as well as
from international organisations. The outcome policy statement of
the Kellokoski Experts Meeting is called
New Consensus on Comprehensive Social Policies
for Development" (PDF 300 Kb).
In January 2007, a "second generation" outcome book
Comprehensive Social Policies for Development in
a Globalizing World (PDF 1,4 Mb) was published together by
Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Social Affairs
and Health, and STAKES. Annexes of the book include declaration
from the Johannesburg conference, hosted by Southern African
Development Community (SADC) 24th November 2006, and its outcome
