Outcomes of the Kellokoski experts' meeting

The Kellokoski Experts' Meeting was held in Finland 1-3 November 2006. The roundtable gathered together social and employment policy experts from several governments, civil society organisations and research organisations of the Global South and North, as well as from international organisations. The outcome policy statement of the Kellokoski Experts Meeting is called New Consensus on Comprehensive Social Policies for Development" (PDF 300 Kb).

In January 2007, a "second generation" outcome book Comprehensive Social Policies for Development in a Globalizing World (PDF 1,4 Mb) was published together by Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, and STAKES. Annexes of the book include declaration from the Johannesburg conference, hosted by Southern African Development Community (SADC) 24th November 2006, and its outcome document Towards an African Regional Social Policy.
