MINDFUL PROJECT

Outcomes

MINDFUL makes a significant contribution to improving the information on mental health at the EU level. Awareness of mental health as a major public health concern has recently been raised for example through the WHO Helsinki Ministerial Conference on Mental Health, the Commission's Green Paper on Mental Health and previous EC-funded projects. Current policy initiatives stress the need for strengthening mental health monitoring.

MINDFUL suggests improvements to European Core Health Indicator (ECHI) list and supports the development of the European Health Survey System (EHSS). Furthermore, it results in a freely available online database with metadata and numerical data on mental health indicators, the MINDFUL Database.
