The STAKES Jyväskylä Satellite Office

• Research on and development of early support for children and families
• Development of services for older people
• Development of welfare services in rural areas
• Co-operation in regional development.

We co-operate actively with the City of Jyväskylä and other municipalities in the area, the Centre of Excellence on Social Welfare of Central Finland, the University of Jyväskylä, the Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences and various social welfare organisations. Our partners also include the Office of the Ombudsman for Children in Jyväskylä.

The information produced by the Satellite Office is passed on to service providers and policy-makers for example through seminars and thematic groups.

The Jyväskylä Satellite Office forms part of FinSoc, the Evaluation of Social Services group at STAKES.
