Projects and research

The Hospital Benchmarking project has inspired other research and development projects. At present, STAKES is carrying out a benchmarking project on care for elderly and on dental care. (More about finRAI.)

In 2004, the Centre for Health Economics at STAKES - CHESS launched a research project in co-operation with University Hospitals in Finland to develop outcome measures for five major disease groups. (More about PERFECT project.) CHESS also conducts research on patient injuries and investigates whether observed differences in hospital performance are related to patient injuries.
